Cupid Chan is a seasoned professional who is well-established in the industry and is an Adjunct Professor in University of Maryland of a Master Program class “Big Data and AI for Business”. His journey started out as one of the key players in building a world-class BI platform. Aside from holding various technical accreditations, his credential extends into business qualifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma and SAFe Agilist.Cupid has been a consultant for years providing solutions to various Fortune 500 companies as well as the Public Sector. He is the Lead Architect for Business Intelligence Analytics program in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) leading analytics initiatives on top of ~1PB data on both Big Data and traditional DB platforms. By leveraging the power of Data, Analytics and Technology, he helps his clients to gain invaluable insight and improve various aspects on their businesses.

He is the Board of Directors, Technical Steering Committee (TSC) and the Champion of the BI & AI Project in Linux Foundation ODPi, which committed to simplification & standardization of the big data ecosystem with common reference specifications and test suites. His strong technical experience in planting Big Data implementation helps his client reaping indispensable business value in different industries.

He was also the Chairperson of Architecture and Co-Chair of Logical Data Model for The Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) responsible for managing engineering disciplines, providing overall technical direction and supporting for all MISMO Products.
