Call for “Volunteers” Now Open!

While 2020 has been a strange year in so many ways, one way it remains the same is that we need the help of volunteers to make ATO possible.

However, there are two major differences this year.

  1. The event will be held online, as everyone is aware, so anyone working with us will need to understand they'll be working in any online/virtual environment. You'll be communicating with the ATO team of course, but virtually.
  2. We're not actually looking for "volunteers" in the traditional sense of the word, meaning working for "free". We're actually going to pay people in exchange for dedicated and focused hours. We'll also provide an ATO VIP pack of course (hat, shirt and stickers), but we'll support that with dollars.

So, what are we looking for?

In short, we're looking for people with Zoom administration experience and skills. Basically, people that have hosted and/or set up meetings and webinars in Zoom.

Why are we looking for Zoom admin experience?
We'll be using Zoom this year as the video platform for speakers and sessions. Our keynotes and track sessions will be hosted in Zoom and integrated into the virtual event platform being used - 6Connex. All sessions will take place within the virtual conference environment (6Connex), but they'll technically be hosted on Zoom.

Why did we choose Zoom?
There were multiple reasons but in the interest of brevity we'll keep it to this - it's the platform most everyone is familiar with. And with 200 or so speakers, some level of familiarity with the platform we're using was and is important.

Although ATO 2020 will look a little different, we intend to host the same fantastic event featuring some of the best speakers and content on earth. We hope you'll consider making that possible.
