Session: Federal Source Code Study: An Analysis of Publishing the People’s Code
The Code.gov team completed and published a three year study pertaining to the implementation of the Federal Source Code Policy. Findings show organizational characteristics of organizational cultural beliefs, public engagement practices, structural dimensions, and structural location aid or hinder agency ability to implement policy and technology. Results include implications for public administrators and open source practitioners alike and descriptive recommendations will be provided on how to interact with your government via code.
