Win a Lemur Pro, mechanical keyboards, Raspberry Pi bundles and more!

Yet another way that ATO 2020 will differ from past years is that we're giving attendees an opportunity to win some truly amazing prizes while at the event. We've always done giveaways featuring shirts, books, etc. but we've never done anything like this.

In short, attendees will accumulate points while attending ATO 2020 and being active on the site, and points will be displayed on a leaderboard. You can accumulate points for things like attending sessions, chatting with other attendees, watching videos, and generally being active. Basically, what you would be doing anyway.  Our goal is to make the conference as engaging and fun as possible with it being a virtual environment.

While more information is forthcoming on the leaderboard and points component, please find below a short list of items attendees can win. A lot of thought went into the list as these are items we ourselves would want to own.

Be sure to register today if you haven't already, and be on the lookout for more information soon on this aspect of the event.

System76 Lemur Pro

We're giving away not one (1) but two (2) Lemur Pro's, thanks to our good friends at System76. These will serve as the top prize on each day of the event. System76 is a great open source company, and be sure to check out their Launch into Learning Sale going on now.

Description:
The System76 Lemur Pro is your new powerful, lightweight BFF. Work untethered with up to 14 hours of battery life and enjoy smooth coding with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU and up to 40GB RAM. Oh, and did we mention it weighs 2.4 lbs? That's light enough to carry around all day using only one hand. Like a smart watch, only computer-shaped.

Configuration:
7-10510U (1.8 up to 4.9 GHz - 8 MB Cache - 4 cores - 8 threads)
16 GB DDR4 at 2666
500 GB M.2 NVMe (Seq. Read: 3,500 MB/s, Seq. Write: 3,200 MB/s)
Pop!_OS 20.04

Mechanical Keyboards

Like everyone else, we're a fan of mechanical keyboards. We'll make a few available at ATO 2020:

Linux Compatible Mini PC

A mini PC that is Linux compatible? Yep.

Raspberry Pi Desktop Kits

We'll make all three versions available - 2GB, 4GB and 8 GB

Adafruit Kits

We'll make multiple MetroX Classic kits available

Uninterruptible Power

Something we often think about, but very seldom follow through on and purchase. If you win, you won't have to. This was an amazing suggestion from our good friend Christine Hall at FOSS Force.

The Art of Computer Programming Boxed Set, by Donald Knuth

What serious programmer wouldn't want this boxed set on their bookshelf? We feel the set is beautifully packaged and the content is truly incredible. A work of art.
