Shruti Kapoor is a Senior Software Engineer at PayPal and is passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge in JavaScript, React, GraphQL and front-end technologies. She shares byte sized javascript tidbits through her newsletter – JSByte: tinyletter.com/shrutikapoor. She is also an ardent #DevJoke fan.

TERESA DIETRICH

Chief Product Officer, Stack Overflow

Teresa Dietrich is the Chief Product Officer at Stack Overflow, where she is responsible for evolving and executing Stack Overflow’s product strategy. Previously she worked at McKinsey New Ventures as Global Head of Product & Engineering, where she played an instrumental role in creating and scaling their B2B SaaS products, built and led product development teams across the globe, and fostered a culture that attracted and developed top talent. Prior to McKinsey New Ventures, Teresa was Chief Technology Officer at Namely, and held several leadership roles at WebMD and AOL. Teresa is a Board Member for the Oklahoma School of Science and Math Foundation, the technical magnet high school that ignited her passion for learning and technology. Teresa earned her Master of Science from George Mason University and continued on as an adjunct professor; she earned her bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

SUMAN ROY

Engineering Director, New York Times

Suman Roy is a Director Of Engineering in the Publishing team at the Times. The Publishing team builds the core tools used by the newsroom to produce Times journalism. Suman received his B.A. in Computer Science from Colgate University.

KRISHNA CHYTANYA AYYAGARI

Specialist Customer Engineer, Google Cloud

KC Ayyagari (Krishna Chytanya Ayyagari) is a Customer Engineer specialized in Infrastructure Modernization at Google. Based out of New York, in this role, he focuses on Google Cloud and works for enterprise sales teams. Prior to Google, KC worked for Microsoft, IBM, Thomas Reuters, Infosys and he has over 12 years of industry experience. A postgraduate, startup mentor and a trained architect, he has been active in the space of cloud computing for over 9 years and had experience in architecting and designing solutions for large enterprises, startups and State Governments.

BARUCH SADOGURSKY

Head of DevOps Advocacy, JFrog

Baruch Sadogursky (a.k.a JBaruch) is the Chief Sticker Officer @JFrog (also, 🎩 of DevOps Advocacy) at JFrog. His passion is speaking about technology. Well, speaking in general, but doing it about technology makes him look smart, and 19 years of hi-tech experience sure helps. When he’s not on stage (or on a plane to get there), he learns about technology, people and how they work, or more precisely, don’t work together.

He is a co-author of the Liquid Software book, a CNCF ambassador and a passionate conference speaker on DevOps, DevSecOps, digital transformation, containers and cloud-native, artifact management and other topics, and is a regular at the industry’s most prestigious events including DockerCon, Devoxx, DevOps Days, OSCON, Qcon, JavaOne and many others. WAMBUA ZACHARIA MUINDI

Lead Mapper, Map Kibera

Zacharia Muindi is a data enthusiast. He has been part of the Map Kibera team since 2009, where he was part of the team of youths from Kibera who created the first digital map of Kibera (Africa’s largest slum) using OpenStreetMap. Over the years he has coordinated several projects for the organization by training youths on how to use free and open digital tools to tell their stories from their own perspective. He has worked on other projects with international organizations such ActionAid to train youths from some of the semi-arid parts of Kenya. Some of the other work that he has been involved in include training of county staff from 3 counties in Kenya on how they can use open mapping tools to track projects that they have implemented and on how they can make the data open to the public to access.

Cupid Chan is a seasoned professional who is well-established in the industry and is an Adjunct Professor in University of Maryland of a Master Program class “Big Data and AI for Business”. His journey started out as one of the key players in building a world-class BI platform. Aside from holding various technical accreditations, his credential extends into business qualifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma and SAFe Agilist.Cupid has been a consultant for years providing solutions to various Fortune 500 companies as well as the Public Sector. He is the Lead Architect for Business Intelligence Analytics program in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) leading analytics initiatives on top of ~1PB data on both Big Data and traditional DB platforms. By leveraging the power of Data, Analytics and Technology, he helps his clients to gain invaluable insight and improve various aspects on their businesses.

ANGEL RIVERA

Developer Advocate, CircleCI

Angel Rivera started his career as an US Air Force Space Systems Operations specialist in Cape Canaveral AF Station where he realized his passion for technology and software development. He has extensive experience in the private, public and military sectors and his technical experience includes military/space lift operations, technical writing, software development, SRE/DevOPs engineering. He also has a wealth of experience in defense and federal sectors such as contracting, information systems security and management.

SOFIA WALLIN

Open Source Project Manager, Ericsson Software Technology

As part of the Ericsson Software Technology (EST) organization, Sofia Wallin is involved in driving open source engagements, supporting in establishing the EST business and act as an advocate for open source throughout Ericsson. She is the technical lead for documentation within Linux Foundation Networking and Community Manager for Nordix Foundation.

RYAN LANCIAUX

Founding Memeber, Spaceship Studio LLC

Ryan Lanciaux is a professional software developer based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Although he programs in several languages, his current area of focus is front-end development. He helps companies and teams build awesome React and React Native applications through his company Spaceship Studio, LLC. He attempts to contribute to the development community through his (often-neglected) blog.

KERRY THOMPSON

Kerry Thompson is an award-winning designer who has been researching, designing, and architecting web and mobile experiences for over 20 years. She is obsessed with digital products and the people who use them.

MATTHEW GROVES

Developer Advocate, Couchbase

Matthew D. Groves is a guy who loves to code. It doesn’t matter if it’s C#, jQuery, or PHP: he’ll submit pull requests for anything. He has been coding professionally ever since he wrote a QuickBASIC point-of-sale app for his parent’s pizza shop back in the 90s. He currently works as a Developer Advocate for Couchbase. His free time is spent with his family, watching the Reds, and getting involved in the developer community. He is the author of AOP in .NET (published by Manning), a Pluralsight author, and a Microsoft MVP.

JIANJUN SHEN

Senior Staff Engineer, VMware

Jianjun Shen is a Senior Staff Engineer at VMware and a maintainer for Project Antrea. Jianjun has been focusing on network virtualization for 10+ years, and has been working on container and Kubernetes networking solutions for VMware NSX-T since Kubernetes v1.0.

CHRISTIAN POSTA

S Global Field CTO, Solo.io

Christian Posta (@christianposta) is Global Field CTO at Solo.io, former Chief Architect at Red Hat, and well known in the community for being an author (Istio in Action, Manning, Istio Service Mesh, O’Reilly 2018, Microservices for Java Developers, O’Reilly 2016), frequent blogger, speaker, open-source enthusiast and committer on various open-source projects including Istio, Kubernetes, and many others. Christian has spent time at both enterprises as well as web-scale companies and now helps companies create and deploy large-scale, cloud-native resilient, distributed architectures. He enjoys mentoring, training and leading teams to be successful with distributed systems concepts, microservices, devops, and cloud-native application design.

Austin Parker has been solving – and creating – problems with computers and technology for most of his life. He is the Principal Developer Advocate at LightStep and maintainer on the OpenTracing and OpenTelemetry projects. His professional dream is to build a world where we’re able to create and run more reliable software. In addition to his professional work, he’s taught college classes, spoken about all things DevOps and Distributed Tracing, and even found time to start a podcast. Austin is also the co-author of the forthcoming book Distributed Tracing in Practice, available now from O’Reilly Media.

ANTONIN BAS

Staff Engineer, VMware

Antonin Bas is a Staff Engineer at VMware and a maintainer for Project Antrea, a Kubernetes Network Plugin, which he tries to make as simple as possible to deploy and troubleshoot. Antonin is also a core contributor to the P4 language, a Linux Foundation project which enables programmability in the network infrastructure.

HANNAH JOY LEHMAN

Site Reliability Engineer, Teamworks

Hannah Joy Lehman is a your classic “generalist” software engineer, having worked the span of the stack from QA automation, front-end, back-end, and now site reliability! She operates by the mantra that “developers are people, too” and prioritizes her engineering efforts around human-centered outcomes. She arrived to her software career via code bootcamp, and many hours spent learning on the clock. She is also the founder of the Triangle Adult Jr. Developers’ Meetup, which supports the growth and development of career-changers all around the triangle. She is also a rock-climbing and gardening enthusiast.
